Where is the best place to buy a DVD player in Canada, Toronto specifically? I have my eye on the Pioneer DV-444 (which plays every disk imaginable) but don't want to pay $399.99 for it.
Will boxing day sales reduce the price on this player significantly? Or do stores only slash prices on the cheap crap?

How much would it be at PriceClub? It's listed at 2001 Audio Video as $399.99.
Are those little electronics stores on Yonge St. safe? They seem a little seedy... I don't want to buy a used or broken DVD player. Do they give refunds? -
You could try Future Shop. They have the DV-343 ($250) and DV-C503 ($350) in their on-line catalogue ( http://www.futureshop.ca )so they may have the 444 in a store.

I bought a Pioneer DV-343 at Gibson's TV in Waterloo (beautiful store BTW) for $199. $40 bucks cheaper than Future Shop! Give them a call and compare if you want one or a higher end Pioneer.
