  1. Hello, I am new to making VCD. However, after following the instructions posted on the "How to" helped me to make a few great quality of vcd. However, when I tried to join two mpg. (vcd encoded by TMPGEnc) with the TMPGEnc, when I play the result mpg, it has a loud beep sound at the point where I join the two mpg. Is this normal? If not, can anyone give me some help? Thanks, Jordan

  3. Well I JUST found a solution to that. You just add both files, then select the second one, go to "edit" and set range to : 00:01 (it will turn it into 00:00,97). By deleting this second, you won't have the beep at all)))))))))))))))))))))
    Hope this helps you))))))))

  4. I don't get the beep when I join, but rather when I cut (or rather, when I encode up to a certain point that is when audio is still playing) I have found that if I use graphedit or something (the de-multiplex function might also work if you're doing a mpg) to make a WAV file and put it into the audio source, instead of the mpg, the "beep" isn't there. The beep is caused by all the audio in a certain frame being squished together. This is apparent when looked at with a wav editor.

What are you doing? Removing the first second of the second file? When I enter 00:01 it stays 00:01.

  6. Oh well don't know why it put 00:00,97 when I put 00:01.... Really don't have any idea, but it worked Now I read this can also be corrected just by pressing the correct buttom before merging So it seems it's even easier

  7. I have had this "beep" problem for sometime now and have turned to programs like MPEG-VCR & CinePlayer Editor. I had used both to overcome the beep problem, they work but not without their own set of problems. The major thing is to join mpgs without reencoding and both this programs introduce new not so evident problems. My mpg files all have been encoded with TMPGEnc and when i join with MPEG-VCR sometimes they do not play proper on certain stand alone VCD Players. CinePlayer sometimes have this problem too.

I had no choice but to return to use the tool from TMPGEnc. To overcome the problem i always choose the end of the first file as xxx:32 (if the end of your mpg is 12:54:00 then set the end time as 12:53:32)

choose the start of your second mpg file to join as 00:00:28.

I had spent some time with all different settings but these work all the time. You will drop 28+28 = 0.56 seconds from your joined files but the beep sound is gone.

Using the "Correct" tab did not help for me and i'm sure for others too.

    I hope this helps.
