i have a panny e55
can i use dvd-r discs, what's the difference betweem dvd+r
do the both work, do they both play back well on all other dvd players
i have maxell discs

Panasonic recorders use DVD-R, they aren't +R compatible. I've never had any playback problems with Panasonic recorded discs.

I just got a great buy at office depot
maxell DVD-R 15 pack for 4.95
there 4.7 gb 8X
I have been useing panasonic DVD-R 4X
are these just as good for replay on other machines?

Yes. The Panasonic are good media. Very expensive. You shouldn't have any trouble with compatibility ...just remember to finalize your DVD-R recordings before playing in a standalone

what I'm trying to find out is if the (maxell 8x) discs that I just bought are just as good as the (panasonic 4x) discs as far as quality and play-back on other dvd players
