Yo! Just got done encoding my stuff the proper way, and created my menus and all. Now in Sonic ReelDVD i go to import my episodes and i got an error like this: "Error : Number of fields (20289) in GOP(# 1) or between sequence_header_code should be equal or smaller than 36."
I have no clue how to fix that error. Any help would be greatly appreciated![]()

What did you use to encode with? It sounds like your GOPs are too big. The best way to fix this is to just re-encode using compliant GOP settings. It is possible to use Womble Mpeg2vcr to insert I frames in between your GOPs, essentially breaking them up and making them smaller but I don't think this method always works properly.

If you work off of the NTSC or PAL DVD templates, whichever applies to you, then your GOPs will be set correctly.
Having GOPs which are too long won't cause problems on most hardware players, but of course the problem may be that the authoring software won't accept it. Maybe you can tell the authoring software to ignore the error. Personally, I'd re-encode it.
I always had trouble getting TMPGenc to maintin compliant GOP lengths. -
Cloud101, I can understand your frustration, however, learing how to use a really good app like DVDLab, is well worth the time, and shows in professional looking results. (imho)

DVD-Lab is not "better" here ... it's just allowing things it should not, an out-of-spec DVD. So I would call this a huge flaw of DVD-Lab. Ignoring spec is nice, but ONLY if you're aware of it.
