Ok I've been trying to encode an xvid to DVD .m2v and then extracting the audio. The problem is TMPGenc Plus comes up with an error. It happens while encoding and if I let it go, it will actually finish encoding the file.
This creates a problem if I want to Batch encode though as it will only finish the one file.
Most of the files that freeze are xvid/divx. I have set DirectShow to be the top of the list on Environmental settings.
It's just a normal error and doesn't give any extra info, the file it says that has the error is the main .exe

I have had this problem in the last week. Try
https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=vso_DivXtoDVD
and https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=CopyToDVD
My own experience these xvids have been thrpowing curveballs at me but these 2 programs performed as advertised.
good luck

I'd suggest that your source may have MP3 VBR audio. Load them into GSpot or AVICodec to find out for sure. If so, extract the audio out to a WAV file using virtualdub, then specify your AVI as the video source, and the new WAV as the audio source.
If in doubt, Google it. -
I used that VSO DvixtoDVD but now I got a whole bunch of .vob files, I'm using Ulead MovieFactory and I can't find how to use those to burn the dvd, it won't recognize the fileformat to where I can add it
