Future shop has 100 packs of maxell's on for 49.99 this week. A few months ago when they were on sale for 69.99 they were the made in taiwan ones.
I'm assuming they still are. Therefore i also assume they are ritek's. I have no problem with the silver matte ritek 4x G04 discs as I've been using them with great success for the past few years.
So I'm just wondering if the maxell ritek's are worse then the ones that come with a silver matte surface with the red ridata wrapping.
Maybe i'd get lucky and find the made in japan ones, but 49.99 Canadian isn't bad for ritek's as they are around 55 plus shipping on blankmedia.ca

I don't think so; in general, Maxell media seems to be equal to or better than their bulk counterparts with the same MID; having said that, the Made In Japan ones seem to be a win/win situation, Maxell MXL RG02 or TYG01 are both top-notch

I bought one 100 pack from Future shop and …yes, they are Ritek’s and …yes, they are just fine.

I just got the last 100 pack for 50$ from future shop, downtown montreal, Made in Japan and media ID MXL RG03.

I haven't had much luck with the 50 pack of MXLRG03 I got at a local Sears. The Apple-branded MXLRG03 5-packs seem much better.

All the ones I have seen in Victoria BC have been TW RG04s (Ritek)
