  1. I want to run a dvd player into my DVD Recorder throught the front av inputs. The manual says innputs are for vcr or analog camcorder. I am trying to get some tv shows I have on a dvd-r to the hard drive, unfortunately I can't use the built in dvd player.

I would just try it but I would have to buy a 25 foot cable due to set up.

Anybody ever try this? My dvd recorder is a Toshiba RS-TX60, but I'm really just interested if this has been done on any model.

Set the sharp output to composite and no probs

  3. Could you explain, "set output to component". Is this a setting done with the remote, or just how you connect the cables?

  4. with my dvd player, you can set the video output from it to match the input (Scart, RGB or composite)

So as long as you set the output on the player to match the input on jvc, then no probs. All settings are done through the menu systems of the relevent machines
