I have a DL-writer. But at the moment i have troubles with single layer. I burn one (4,7 gb) with approx. a 1000 mp3's on it. When i put it in the standalone DVD-player, only a 500 of so are recognised. So i put it in the standaloneplayer (other brand) of someone else, same problem 600 are to be seen in the menu.
Who knows a solution? What causes this?

You are up against the maximum number of mp3 files the stand alone player will recognize. Check the player spec.
You will also find they often top out at less than 1000 jpgs too. -
ok tanx for reply, you say it also happens with pics, do you know some players which are best in handling such big amount of files?

Try to put about 99 titles in a directory... You can have 99 directory's with most DVD players, in this way you can have round 9800 mp3's on your disc.

u just make folders in windows, no software needed

nero will make mp3 dvd's. You have to go through the express mode I believe to get the MP3-DVD wizard. Works fine on my pioneer. But as stated before..some players just won't support it.
