    Edit how?
Sure, machine has some editing abilities (I never use them), and then you can do whatever you want on PC.

    Edit on PC:
    http://www.digitalfaq.com/edit/recorderedit/recorderedit.htm

Do not waste time trying to remove logos. Rarely does it look good (seen it good ONLY a few times, and ONLY from near-transparent color-free logos). I'd rather have a logo than some blob.

Removing subs, same as removing logos.

Can only connect PC to iLINK input, nothing else. For DV to DVD.

Adding text, effects etc .... you want an NLE like Premiere or Vegas. In this case, you should use AVI on a capture card, not a DVD recorder. A DVD recorder was meant for simple conversion, not for editing purposes.
