I am new to this, as of yesterday, so please understand.

I have been trying to convert my avi movies to mpg with TMPGEnc. When I hit the Start button I keep getting the message "An Error Occured When Audio Was Decoded." and it doesn't start. So, I tried using Nero (I know it doesn't do as well) and get a audio error problem, there, too. I have tried different codecs and that doesn't help. DivX, alone, would not work, so I tried Kristal and a couple others. I am running XP and Media Player will play these movies without a problem.

Does anyone have any idea what I am missing or could be doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
