    hey guys,

    when I stick a dvd into my dvd drive it wont read the disc. it shows it as empty as nothing is in the drive. is there a way to fix this? thanks for any help.

    I have a pioneer 115 dvd drive.

    Does it work when you insert a CD? Can Windows still see it in the Device Manager?

    yep on both. it can read cds fine and shows up. but when I stick in a gnomon workshop dvd into it it shows nothing. other dvds show up as well.

    maybe the disk is bad. If everything works but that one software disc then the disc is junk
