hi, my friend's asked me to ask you guys what the best el-cheapio video editing software is?

he's no idea where to begin and therefore no idea of budget etc.

he's a computer noob as well so must be easy to use.
he has a load of video clips (mpeg I think) which he wants to edit, add titles, and ultimately join them all together with a single soundtrack over it all.

thanks in advance for any replies
    Erm, HELP!!!!!

Keep in mind that Good Video editors are complicated. Easy to use video editors are very restricted.

For an easy to use Free video editor, use WMM2. If you want a Free advanced video editor, try Wax2. It will take you some time to learn it, but it's worth it. It's great for creating animated motion menus, video editing, slide shows, 3-d rendering and much, much more.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

great work guys, it's not for me unfortunately but some body-builder whos knowledge of computers is .... limited!

I can't be bothered to sit down with him for days at a time teaching him how to use the software or doing the work for him (I have other things to do you know!!) .....

It's a new PC he's getting so XP should be installed and I'll suggest that as a starting point

Thanks again for all the replies
