    Ok, bought this today and so far tested with the folowing
    Star wars Trilogy (Original Tapes and New DVDS)
    Titanic Tape
    Indie jones Trilogy (tapes)

    all have copied GREAT, no sign of macrovision interference at all

    I went to argos thinking i was purchasing a Liteon 5005
    only found out it was 5004 when i got home, and i am pleased

    What about DVD to DVD? I bet it will pick the macrovision up on that.

    Edit...I meant DVD to DVD.

    not so , im doing the star wars trilogy as we speak as even on
    3 hr mode that quality is great and withoug a mv glitch!!!

    im still copying my vhs collection , as well as my dvds
    without any hitches???
