  1. hey guys, im making a dvd with some music videos in dvd lab pro, and i have some files that wont import into the assets, because they are pal, or they arent the right size, how can i convert the pal ones to ntsc? the ones that were the wrong size but ntsc i just pulled into pinnacle studio 9 and reencoded to an mpeg2 dvd file, if possible how can i get pinnicle to read pal files as it doesnt support it. i guess that would be the easiest way?

You cant import them because you cant mic PAL and NTSC on the same disk. Pinnacle should be format agnostic, so loading PAL files should not be a problem, however it usually isn't as simple as then saving out as NTSC. Have a look at the guides on your left under How To. There are a number of format conversion guides there.

Just saving out as PAL can cause jerkiness as you are throwing away frames (4.97) per second. Read the guides from my last post. You may be able to use virtualdubmod or another freeware app to keep your costs down.
