Those are bad...you have consistent PIF's over 20. However - try doing the scan at 4x speed. That might help. Also...what firmware are you using..?? CG3E? Never seen that one before...heh...Here's my scans of Mage01 on a NEC3500...(Loks like you liteon dosnt like it.)

This is a bare pass. I would experiment with these a bit more before committing to buy more of this brand for your burner.

Although nothing is written in stone, generally speaking if the PI stays below 256 on most of the disk (spikes mean nothing and could just indicate dust or fingerprints) the disk is acceptable and will play in most conditions. However, lower is better. A good DVD recordable will be below 100 for the entire scan, and even better below 30. We have seen scans for some good disks where the PI stays below 5 - that's better than a pressed commercial DVD.

The slight dip in the reading speed, coinciding with a bump in the PI at the 250 range says "danger". This is just the sort of problem that could make a disc skip during playback. However, it's just as likely that the player won't even notice it.

  8. Try CMC mag's with a pioneer 108 instead.. I bet money it will be much more decent qaulity wise

Toaster...I'd be very wary of those discs. Those PI's are totally unacceptable. question is: Is it just your liteon drive, reading it like that? Or is it really a bad disc? Let us know how that disc plays..those PI's are waaay too high.

  10. These are disc that were burned at 4x on my Liteon 812S @ CG3E 832S firmware. I believe I used Nero 6603 to burn the images (either .iso or .img, I cant recall)

Read back on the same Liteon drive. I know I watched on of them, I cant remember which one- played ok. I test them both later (watch them both) and report back- will probably be a day or two (new years eve and all)

THANKS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!
