    Can the Philips 642 play .mkv movies? I have a 2001 A Space Odyssey DVDRIP by BNS (RV10c+OGG).mkv file that I can play on my computer in VLC Media Player, but am unsure if it plays on the DVD player.

    It cant deal with the *.MKV package, you'll have to repackage it. (*.AVI)
