  1. Well, I've been trying to convert the audio from this file to 48khz.. but I have to demultiplex it first.. and it stops 20% through saying its finished in TMPGENC 3.0 express. So I figured maybe reencoding would help, but what happens when I open the file is, just a 10 minute video file, because it stops right there.

This is really weird, I can watch the movie on PowerDVD all the way through, but when I try to do encoding on it, or demultiplex it, it messes up. The file is a 480x576 pal movie.. Any suggestions?

    Hello,

You're going to have convert the video too as 480x576 is NOT DVD compliant. Click HERE for the dvd resolutions for PAL.

    Also, click here:

for other svcd-dvd methods that are available.

  3. Yeah, the file itself is pretty messed up. Theres like a point 25% through.. that just causes problems. I can't demultiplex the video or the audio separately.

Right now, what seems like the only solution is to encode the file from the beginning to the part where it is about to mess up. and reencode after it messes up to the end. and then join them both. But that will be difficult, has to be another solution. Since I'm actually able to play the file in a video player with no difficulty.

I've tried DVD lab to demultiplex and had some "vob file can't be found" or something error.

    Hello,

Try normal tmpgenc for demultiplexing also. It comes with a 30 day free trial for mpg2 output.

It can output to .m2v and .mp2.

  5. Theres a feature in tmpgenc that allows you to cut frames.. I've cut 30 seconds or so.. and i think that has helped.. its still kind of messed up.. that you have to do that when the movie plays fine in standard players.. :\
