    lately i saw HP 8x DVD+R at Micro Center for $20 for a 50 pack. i was wondering if anyone has used them or know of its reputation.

    HP 8X+R is CMC media. CMC 8X+R. I have used it and have had mixed results. Some 8X drives top at at 6X max due to the power margin issues that CMC seems to have. The write quality results are OK in most cases.

    yea i been using verbatim 8x dvd+r that is 12x compatible for the last few months.

    they were 50 pack for $20, seriously i bought like $300 worth, came back for me and they went up to $40 for 50pack. BS!! so i decided to try these out.
