I was wondering if someone could tell me what is Dual Layer Burning??and which is a better dvd writer to buy the NEC 3500A or the Pioneer DVR108??

Dual layer = You can burn on dual layer media, also called DVD+RDL and DVD+R9. https://www.videohelp.com/glossary?D#DVD+R%20DL
But DVD+R DL media is still pretty expensive and it doesn't work on many standalone dvd players.
