Great concept, wished it worked as advertised.
For those that may not know what I am refering to, it is the online rebate system theat Staples has setup for qualifing rebates.
Purchase product with qualifing rebate and you are supposed to be able to submit the rebate online, Very easy, only two items from reciept are needed, 1. rebate offer # and 2. sales id #, both of which are printed on the rebate form itself along with instructions on where to go on the web & how to use. VERY NEAT AND EASY
It even gives ability to submit all the rebates from one reciept just by adding the additional rebate offer #
PROBLEM:
Bought a list of things, all having qualifing easy rebates
only one of the rebate offer # was reconized as valid and processed.
there was a "report" link on error page which I did
so far no response or acknowledgement of submission
If it worked as stated, it would certianly affect my decision of where to buy rebated items, even if it was not the "best" after rebate price, convience is woth something and no worry about if you dotted all the i's or crossed the t's and jumped through all the necessary hoops not to have it rejected because you did not circle the item on the reciept.
Any feedbadk from other shoppers at Staples that have tried the easy rebate system?

I've used it twice so far. First item I already got the check. Second item is still pending return period status.
It worked for me. -
This is a followup to my original post regarding the Staples easyrebate program.
After several attempts to submit the rebates online, getting the error message and then submitting the report form, after 1 week the system finally took all the rebates.
I got email confirmation on all but one, for $30 on HP M305.
Went to web site and checked rebate status which showed "invalid rebate"
Returned the camera to store for refund. They did so without much hassle, as the manager said I was not alone in having problems with the system.
Hope they get it worked out, as it sure beats the normal mail process. -
They should look at Rite Aid & Walgreens, both programs are pretty easy to use & the rebates come fast.

I'll add to this as it progresses, but I turned in two easy rebates from black friday purchases. Both were accepted, and are marked as "Pending return period". I assume that means they're holding them until I can't return the items. Good thinking if you ask me. Less chance for the rebate scammers. I don't mind waiting two weeks.
We'll see if/when they get released, and the checks sent. -
Or just buy each item that you are getting a rebate for in separate cash register transactions until they get their system fixed. Sounds like they didn't test it very well, as it is the typical kind of mistake that a lot of programmers make.
