The FilmMachine seems to be the easiest.
Yes tmpgenc will handle the sound unless its
VBR or AAC. -
So XVCD is the same as KVCD?
Also with that filmamchine mode how do i make it support XVCD?

HelGhast,
best to goto http://www.kvcd.net/portal/index.php
for a KVCD description. There have been some
heated discussions in the past about KVCD that we don't
want repeated.
Also check out the guides (at the left menu) -
The thing i still dont understand is are KVCD and XVCD the same thing or do i just need a different template?
Also will players that play XVCD play KVCD?
Sorry if im being stupid -

XVCD=a VCD that doesn't conform to VCD standard. KVCD doesen't conform to VCD standard, so KVCD=XVCD
But to your initial question:i want to make anXVCD max 4300kbit/s
A)That's DVD bit rates, so you wont fit much on a CD.
B)Not many (no?) players can spin a CD fast enugh to pull data at that rate. It wont play/play with severe stutter. SVCD bit rate is usually max for a CD, around half of the bit rate you'd like.

I meant the max my player can handle is that bitrate
What kind of bitrate is VCR>Good quality? my downstairs player plays very few cd-r only if they are burnt at like 4x but my upstairs handles everything
-Edit
Jimmalenko that page is not to be found....
Thanks

Also if i encode the movie at 1850 kbps will it fit onto a 80min cd-r with overburning?
Thanks for being patient and helping me

VCD at 1150 Kbs is sub VHS quality. XVCD at 1850
kbps is almost VHS quality, if not equal.
The question you should ask is how many minutes
of video can you fit at 1850 kbps. The anwer to this
and other birate questions can be found by using
the bitrate calculator. What is your desired audio
bitrate? It it stereo or mono?
(see tools, left hand side mneu for the calculator) -

Even if your player doesn't support SVCD/CVD, you could try the VCD header trick, that might work (tricking the player into believing it's a VCD, while it is in fact playing SVCD). Since both DVD and SVCD/CVD is mpeg2 video, there's no reason for a DVD player not to play SVCD IMHO...

Never use BeSweet/BeLight, so I can't help you with that ...

Sounds like corrupt AC3. View the logs.
