    Hi there.
I have in the last few weeks successfully copied around 30 DVD's. Without any problems at all.
I use MacTheRipper... followed by DVD2oneX.
And then burn using Toast. As DVD-ROM UDF under Data Tab.

Today I did exactly the same as usual...
BUT my result is a 5.3GB file that Toast informs me is too large.
Normally the files come in under the 4.7GB and no hassle.

So I went through the whole process again and still no joy!

The movie in question is "Bound" 104mins in length.

** the only unusual thing I see is on the disc**
DVD 9: single sided dual layer disc.
I say unusual because I haven't notice this on other discs (ain't looked cos no problems).

    Any Ideas appreciated...

Try reducing the 'User specified' size in DVD2OneX to something below 4472 MB. Try something like 3680 MB (4.37/5.3 * 4472), and refine it from there, to get the output as close to 4.37 GB (while remaining under it) as possible. This happens on certain discs, and you just have to fiddle with the size setting until you get the output close to the target size. Remember to set it back to 4472 MB when you're done so future discs don't get needlessly overcompressed.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."
