  1. Four film studios are expected to release movies on the new HD format in the last quarter of 2005

    Toshiba Corp. said Monday it had won support for the HD DVD optical disc standard from Warner Bros. Studios, Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures and New Line Cinema, advancing its cause in the battle for the next-generation DVD.

  4. My big question:

    Will the HD-DVD Movies come with a Standard DVD too, or will there by two types in two different boxes. Given the fact that we get two disks now with most movies and HD-DVD & DVD disks can be pressed with the same machines, I would think we should get both in the same case.

    What's gonna suck is when Spiderman 3 (or anyother Sony flic) comes out on Blu Ray. I don't see them pressing a HD-DVD too.
    For the love of God, use hub/core labels on your Recordable Discs!

    Sony is going for the Blu Ray (including Playstation 3).

    Many manufacturers are pressing MS to choose for HD-DVD (even including it in Xbox 2).
