Ok, I survived that freeKinG Moonlight SaLE @ ComPUSa. Thank God I had a friend who was with me. I got what I wanted which was the Maxtor 250gb 7200 rpm, 8mb cache for $99.99 and the Mad Dog Video mx400 video card. It was FReekinG nuts in there. I had to ask 4 diff sales guys where the video card was before the last guy found it still packed in the boxes. Whoas! The line to pay was the length of the damn store. After that experience I dunno if it's worth going there the day after Thanksgiving. Ahhhh! I know I'll probably find something in their ad so I'll end up being there at 5:30 a.m.

The 250GB drives were already gone when my posse got there. I bought coffee for three other coworkers so that they could buy one for me for a total of four but none were left an hour after the one near me opened. They said there were folks waiting in the parking lot an hour before they opened but that they didn't even have very many to begin with. D'oh, had to go to the wrong store in the area for them and I'm out 3 cups of coffee and a coffee stain on my backseat

I stood in line 30 minutes before the store opened in the hot and humid weather. A bunch of us hid behind a wall from the hot sun. The line went around the store into the parking lot. I laughed as the Compusa employees told everyone to form a single file line. Like everyone was gonna listen.

The shipment of the cheapo dvd player was out of stock. A friend that works there told me they only had 6 on the floor today, the container didn't arrive in time for the sale. They had us pay for the dvd player in advance and pick it up some time next week. My friend told me they were only going to allow the first 280 people to pay for it then that was it. I bet they'll have that same dvd player on their day after Thanksgiving sale. It will be a 12 page ad according to my friend.

A stark contrast to here where the temps were at or below freezing when the store opened. But of course we're used to it so the folks that were there before open were standing around outside the doors.
