Hy Mr. major,
is there the possibility to add a "rotate video" (90 degrees by clockwise or counterclockwise, it doesn't matter) feature in ffmpeg or mencoder engine when encoding a divx ?
It will be appreciated a lot from all Palm Tungsten T5/T3 and Sony Clie' users... including me ;o)
In fact, when rotating the display from potrait to landscape (the handheld has a 480 * 320 pixels display, and it can be used horizontally - landscape mode, 480*320 - or vertically - potrait mode, 320*480 - switching this option from the Palm OS menubar), the best Palm OS divx player, MMPlayer, slowes down radically when playing a full screen divx file (optimized for the handheld: ex bitrate lower than 300kbits) in landscape mode, as the PalmOS performs a software, and not an hardware, graphic acceleration in swithching from potrait (which is the "natural" mode) to landscape screen configuration.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to rotate the movie with no other application (quicktime opens the file in the rotated mode, but the encoded file appears as it was...)
Thanks for your attention and lots of compliments for your "child", it's getting better and better ;o)
Best regards, Cett1.
