After I posted my plea, you're right, I found the answer. Wasn't sure what I would be looking for but DVDSHRINK was popping up all over the place. Got the question answered many times over.

I like dvd2one. My eye to brain interface seems to respond better to the output than that of DvdShrink.

Run dvdshrink, then dvdcrypter to burn. No problems ever doing it this way.

VOBBlanker or Titlesetblanker will remove unwanted elements. I've used the former and found it very useful.
