Just mentioned that in the other thread... however, my local newspaper specifically states +R. Not sure if they would do DVD-R or not.
-
Right. Thought I'd start a new thread so it wasn't buried since this is a different product (packaging) at a new (better) price.
Good point on the -R, which is a question, I can only confirm +R, since that is what I looked for and purchased. -
+ only according to the sales guy I spoke with... two day sale.
Used my CC B1G1
Now what in the hell am I going to do with 700 DVD's
JSB -

samijubal, sorry about that, it might be helpful/useful if you were to include your location in your post. The sale could be regional rather than a national sale.

Purchased today at Best Buy in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Used Circuit City B1G1 coupon. First went to customer service counter, showed them the coupon, and asked if I could use it. They said yes.
Picked up two Fujifilm 100 packs, "made in japan", DVD+R. Took to check out, slapped coupon on the counter, and said "customer service already approved this". Cashier needed assistance from a supervisor, but supervisor quickly set price of second pack to $0.00. They did collect the coupon, and I had to complete some small form.
Scan of media, as expected, is YUDEN000T02. Premium media for $0.18 INCLUDING sales tax!!!
Trying to resist going back tomorrow for more as I cannot imagine getting this quality for this price anytime soon again! -
Hey guys, I came back from BB with 200 8x DVD+R's for only 35 bucks. There both TY media codes. I used my B1G1 coupon at the register and they didn't have a problem with it. But a tip for you guys out there, if they won't use the B1G1 coupon, say that you've talked to the customer supervisor and that the supervisor "ok" the coupon. That should work out fine for you guys.

Check that. I think the ad on the website is gone. How else can I prove there's a sale like that going on when I go to BB? -

When I went to the store yesterday (Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington DE), they could not find any Fuji 100 pack for $34.99 either on the shelf, in their computer, or on their web site.
The 50packs on sale for $19.99 were sold out so I got a rain check.
This morning I found 4x +R 100pack on their web site for $34.99 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1061127216222&skuId=5961872&productCategory...3&type=product But I did not see any 8x 100 pack listed.
Are these the ones you all are getting that are really 8x? Can someone check their receipt for their item/sku/?? number they show up or give me the bar code number off the side of the spindle so I know for when I go over to the store if they can't help me find?
Thanks!! -
Product number listed on receipt: 25302200
Packaging SKU on barcode: 74101 75002 FUJIFILM DVD+R 4.7GB 100PK -

Went to first store.. Took print out of web page, plus bar code that you posted. They all matched but shelf price said $79.99. Went to check out... they rang up at $79.99. I showed them the print out of the web site and they said they can NOT honor that price. I said its from their web site, does not say "web only" or anything like that. They said no both at the main check out, and the customer service area.
Went to store number two. Ony 1 made in Japan spindle on the shelf so I picked it up and went to check out. SamethingThey gave me the story.. Oh BB.com and the stores are completely separate, etc... They don't do prices based on web sites, etc.
Well, after I again pointed out it does NOT say "web only" and even says "available for pickup" I was told "Internet prices are cheaper because you also have to pay shipping" to which I pointed out on my print out of the web site "free shipping." I was given blank looks. Finally they gave in and price matched.
(Btw, while I was really really irate at this I did not loose my cool and I didn't not cause a scene. When I was younger I worked retail, I know what its like, so I tried to show them the same courtesy that I would liked to have been given had I been the sales clerk)
This makes me think about going back to BB for future purchases.
Looking at their web site, they have Verbatim DL DVD+R 3pack for $29.99 but the price in the store is $35.99. Wonder how many other things are like this!
Sorry, rant is over.
EDIT: After all that, its TY02 media BUT the post of the spindle is broken and I got 3 discs that are either cracked or scratched. I also have a few that look "questionable" around the hub ring. -
Sorry about the problems Mark_Venture - had no problems here in the Chicago burbs.... in fact, went in twice - walked out with 400 using the CC coupon. Price approx 18 cents/disc including tax. Not really sure what I will do with 400 discs, but too good a price to pass up for TY!
