Has anyone used -R media in the Pioneer DVR-510H that was faster than 4X? Brand and speed?
I have only used Memorex -R 4x up till this point which have worked well and was wondering if there were any problems with using faster media.
Thanks.

You'll find that 8X media is also rated for 4X burning. For example, Ritek's Web site has a chart showing that its 8X DVD-R media burns at 4X on a Pioneer DVR-710 (the chart doesn't list the 510).
