Hello,
http://www.detnews.com/2004/technology/0411/18/technology-8434.htm
So the article doesn't state anything about speeds... or whether or not it's HDTV...![]()
Would this replace DSL???? SBC currently only offers DSL, not cable.
Anyone else know more about this deal?????
Kevin

Hello,
Dr Dos - Yeah that's what I'm wondering.....
It says fiber optic lines in the article but it doesn't clarify the transfer speeds or video quality....
Maybe I'll check it out on sbc's website later... they've got to have something on this...

I don't know off hand what the transfer speeds of Fiber are, but the place I am visiting (working) at here in Canada uses fiber and it's definately faster than any 10/100 connection we use back in the states at work.
Fiber is faster than DSL, ADSL, cable modems, etc.... That's what they tel me here.
I'm sure one of the tech guru's on here will be able to tell us the difference....
