I think I have one more of thse sitting around somewhere...I'll try and find it and do a 4x burn...The Kprobe came back pretty decent for being over-burned.. Will see what a 4x is like.

Also...these discs all came in paper sleeves...but were incredibly trashy..looking almost like someone hd taken a pencil eraser to the bottom...even with a moist cloth couldnt entirely get rid of the marks.. Figured I'd have a burn error. We'll see what happens.

I just noticed you burned 6x instead of 4x on them?
Of course you're likely to get coasters. No surprise.
A 4x at 4x should be better (though still mediocre I bet, given Ritek's recent quality of things).

Just tested the disc. It remarkably plays back fine in a PS2. Still wouldnt distribute this, though.. And yeah I burned at 6x more for informational purposes than anything else.

Been getting random types of media burning at all available speeds etc, and testing, just to see..

Something remarkable...is my TY 8x printable from supermedia store (the only place currently I use to purchase discs), burn better at 16x, than they do at 4x. Heh.

Smurf, you know why sometimes the NEC reads back in CAV, and sometimes P-Cav? That's my only irk. Heh.

I have no love for NEC drives. One of those mediocre products that goes both ways (sometimes I like, sometimes not).

In reference to the speed tests, what do the different color lines represent.?

So the greeen line is the speed of the read? If it dips and rises it means that the disc is not being read consistantly?
