I am trying to back up the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind"
I 1st decrypted to my hard drive with DVD Decrypter with no probs or errors. I then try to use DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 to shrink it down to fit on DVD-R & I get this message:

Any Ideas? I have ripped several DVD's before this & I have installed nothing new.

    Hello,

Rerip in iso read mode in dvd decrypter. Then open the iso in dvdshrink. If you still get the same error message use another transcoder

This is a longshot, but I'll throw it out there any way. I had a similar error on a movie a while back. Nothing would work to shrink it. Somebody on this forum suggested to turn off the preview window during the transcode process. I did and it worked. Why it worked, I have no idea. With this method, I stopped getting errors n that disk.

Maybe worth a shot at least.

  8. dudeman316, here are some possible solutions to your problem.

Fixes that have worked for some:

    - In Full-disc mode, use "Still Image" on the "Unreferenced Materials".

    - Use v3.2 Reauthor mode to do a movie-only backup (open DVD Shrink in Reauthor mode and browse to the movie title).

    - Rip and process with DVD Shrink v3.1.7.

    - Rip with v3.1.7 and process with v3.2.

The above were taken from http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/107359. They were submited by ddlooping.

  10. I had this DVDShrink problem twice with two brand spanking new movies I wanted to back up.

I've always had the preview disabled which will indeed slow down the process and use more memory, so I am not sure about that....however my problem was with the discs themself.

Finally had to use a disc doctor on these two brand #^&#$& new dvds and w00t all of a sudden no more Shrink errors....so my suggestion is clean the disc or regrind the surface and see if that corrects your problem like it did mine.

    Laddydaddy, I did this:
    - In Full-disc mode, use "Still Image" on the "Unreferenced Materials".

Seems to fix it I wil report back with end results
