Hi,
I have 2 separate .avi files ( each one is roughly 700 MB) of the same film. I've already converted them with Mainconcept MPEG encoder in MPEG2. Would it be possible to join the 2 files to "build" a single DVD? Thanks a lot

ive tried this a couple of time but usually you end up with sync problems when it hits the second file, best way is just to authour it as 2 movies and link the end of the first to the start of the second, DVD lab will do this for you very nicely, you do get a bit of a stutter when watching it but its nothing more that a layer change type thing

No problem - you've done the right thing so far. Just add them as part 1 and part 2 of the same title, and the authoring app (TMPGEnc DVD Author) will "join" them seamlessly.

i heard NEROVISION EXPRESS has a join together feature that lets you combine 2 video files into 1 with only a hint of hesitation between cd1 and cd2 with no audio sync issues..good luck
