HDTV live sound, HDTV playback no sound

I have visionplus card and have been watching HDTV and not recording anything up until now, If I watch and record in SD/MPEG and play back in VisionPlus software or playback in any other Media Player the picture and sound are fine. If I watch and record in HD/AC3, and play back in VisionPlus or playback in any other Media Player the picture is fine but no sound? The sound works fine watching live. A copy of the stream taken to another pc gives the same result, IE no sound, AC3 has been re-installed, and I am using VP 2.431. A search has not revealed anything usable. I used GsPot to have a look at the mpeg and it reveled that the audio is missing! I find this odd that live HD/AC3 works and recorded HD/AC3 does not.

I have tried suggested AC3 filters from searching these forums + stuff from the doom9 site, this has made no difference at all, although live sound works very well, recording does not record the sound at all? I have now formatted the HDD and started again with suggested AC3, same problem………….
