I recently tried the "region free hack" on my DVDR-75 recorder. I believe I did it correctly but PAL discs still won't play on my TV. (Just crazy vertical jumping). But that's not my problem. Since I've done this my computer will not read a DVD+RW recorded on this machine. Other players will read them, but not my computer. It keeps telling me that I have inserted a blank disc. What I am doing is transferring old vhs tapes (home movies, no macro'd stuff), first to dvd+rw then to dvd with Record Now. I'm using Philips RW's which in the past have given me great results. Anybody know if there is a way to "undo" the region free hack? :) I'm at my wits end.

Have you tried http://www.dvdplusrw.org/ ? Undoing the hack is probably in the FAQ somewhere.
