Some of you may remember this picture from the top 10 worst album covers thread. Well, for those that thought all the artists on that list were never to be heard from again, check this out:

WASHINGTON - The Bush campaign abruptly stopped using the 1970's hit "Still the One" at campaign rallies Friday after the songwriter, no fan of the president, claimed the Republicans never got permission.

John Hall (news), a former Democratic county legislator in upstate New York, co-wrote the song and recorded it with his band Orleans in 1976. He complained on Friday morning about the campaign playing the song at the president's events.

Now I wonder which one is John Hall...

The tall guy in the center.

He wrote songs for Janis Joplin and did session work for Seals & Croft, Bonnie Raitt and Little Feat.
He also formed his own band, John Hall Band.

He's still around the music scene, even though Orleans isn't active.

John Hall is very anti-Bush

Not to get into politics, but if you remember the No Nukes concert done at the world trade center back in '79, he was a part of that project and wrote the song, Power.
Along with Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, etc- they've been trying to preach and push for a long time and forewarned the troubles ahead with the middle east.
It's eerie and ironic that they held the concert for a nuclear free world in front of the world trade center.

Nope...I did a quick google search for Weirdest, Gayest, Funniest and Worst album covers...and most of these came up.

The others, I already knew about and just pulled 'em off the All Music Guide site 8)

Some of those came from the site the Orleans cover was on.


BTW, I'm tempted to buy that Joyce album - if it can be found

Now that we've seen cases of that really happening, no doubt well after that album came out, I wonder if the Reverend regretted that cover design

At any rate, I'm betting that album doesn't contain many bitchin party cuts

Wow, I actually have this album. And no I am not gay. I am a metal maniac! I remember I had some friends that were really huge Manowar fans. One of them went all the way to Philadelphia from New York to see them.

For the record (pardon the pun)....I wasn't knockin' any of these artists (no offense intended).
Most of these came from sites picked by others who thought they were either the most odd, gay looking or worst album covers (not necessarily including the artist or music)

I happen to be a very big fan of Fleetwood Mac, and I picked out this cover myself -

It's a great album, btw.


I also like a few Hall & Oates' stuff, especially their most recent album.


FWIW, I have nothing against gays either...if I offended anyone, my apologies.
