I have two DVD Players capable of playing DIVX files - they both work flawlessly, so much so that I'm starting to create more DIVX CDs than DVDs.
One player only accepts DIVX 5.0 and above but the other accepts DIVX 3 and above plus the latest WMV format, and both accept all forms of MPG files (don't need to be VCD or DVD compliant).
I would recommend to everyone to have at least one DIVX capable player in their equipment set.
Can't answer the question of which is the best player - would have to have tried them all to answer that - but I'm happy with mine (one is a 'DVX' brand the play-anything one is a 'Samsung').
