It's funny but I actually noticed that too. Yoda is one of the more likable and friendly post-whores.

There are a bunch of members like him are very nice. They are usually a lot more fun than some of the more vocal, standoff-ish and assholic members (ahem... northcat). I am just kidding, the boards needs ******** (or badasses) to keep everybody from going love-fest on each other, I know I would if not for you northcat!

I must take exception to this portrayal of Northcat. He is not assholish, or a badass. He is "Math Blaster" ....a mild-mannered math teacher by day ....and MATH BLASTER by night.

During the day he posts here with useful anatomy guides and etiquette tips ...and the occasional Photoshop masterpiece. But by night ....TAAAA DAAAAA. MATH BLASTER ...he'll take only so much abuse and then his attitude kicks in.

You'll be reeling under the relentless barrage of derivatives, j-operators, polar coordinates and determinants.

But ...once he's done ripping the unwary a new one, he immediately switches gears ...usually in the same post, and invites you to sit down and share some apple pi with him.

After having failed more than half of my math classes in high school, I don't have a very good relationship with math teachers. The teachers is summer school and night school are much nicer. I hope you aren't a hardass when it comes to homework northcat, that would be mean.

Man, do I suck at math, or learning math that is, since I am good at it once I put my mind to it. Luckily for me, I will never have to take another math class in my life!

that's because you think of it wrong.

There are only 4 operations in math. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. That's it. From 4th grade through Doctorate, that's all of it.

Mathematics...IE Algebra, Calculus, etc....is just problem solving of when to use which operation.

Also...don't over complicate it....you can only work with 2 numbers at a time.

For me Math was kind of a natural gift...I guess....I hate to admit this but I never once did one homework assignment in high school and didn't really pay attention in college. For whatever reason I was always able to just look at it, read a little bit of the section and know how to do it....but then again, I'm an auditory learner.
