    Hello,

    There was a story out earlier about U2 putting it's album on brand new Ipods.

    Is this a good idea for portable music players???? I mean how much will endorsements like this help??

    I think even though the Ipod is the top seller doing that might spark off a war for bands endorsing this player over that player. There still only selling some bands on pay websites and not others.

    Thoughts??????

    If you obtain this Ipod you'll be able to delete the U2 stuff right ?

    Cause the U2 ipod is black. Unless you want the red wheel though colorwarepc.com has sold black ipods for a while now.

    you will be able to delete it. As for the endorsment Bono has in the past made very apple friendly comments (hum... how much is apple paying). Also i don't know if you guys remeber but abouit a year back there was a court case about the rolling stones dvd only availible thru Best Buy. Its just the same shit some one doing croos merchandising u2 gets alot of free publicity because of the endorsement (it WILL be on the news) and so does Ipod. If other band should support other players it might make the war more interesting apple has been slow lately about putting new features at reasonable prices on their products...
