Need help. Cant figure this out!

Ok, first I know that these questions have been asked before on different threads and i have read all of those and tried to use that advice but I still can not figure this out.

First my pc is pretty new. 2.4ghz 1gb of ram, you get the drift.

I went out and purchased a dynex 8x dvd player/writer at Best Buy. Figured I would give this a shot.

Inside the Dynex Dvd player, came with a free Nero Smart Start Burning software. When it burns the DVD it uses Nero Recode 2?

I needed a ripping software and I used DVD Shrink3.2.

So i stick a DVD in there from blockbuster and used DVD Shrink to rip and shrink it.

After it gets done ripping it, it asks for a blank media and then automatically starts to burn. I am assuming it us automatically prompting Nero to burn it.

My first shot at burning a dvd is great! It works and then I burn 10 other dvds and it is perfect. Then I try van helsing and works perfect until the last 5 seconds where it starts to studder and skip. I thought it wasnt too bad, it only does this at the last 5 seconds.

My friend asks to borrow a dvd and he takes it home and says it doesnt work on his dvd player. His DVD will not even load the disk.

I tell him his dvd player is prolly not compatitible or something because they work perfect on mine so he goes out and buys a new dvd player, an apex like mine, only a new version. We stick my dvds in and they work for about 10 minutes until they start to skip and studder.

I read on the forums that when this happens, its probably the MEDIA.

I was using Memorex and was told these are basically coasters. So I went to the Bestbuy and looked for the best ones available from the list of good media and could only find Fuji, which are tier 2 of the best.

I try and burn it this time and it goes about an hour into VanHelsing before it studders and utlimately stops.

I did not place labels on these dvds and also have tried to burn without using Region free and Region 1.

I have tried to use DVD decyrpter and then using shrink.
I have tried just about everything I can think of.
Most of the DVDS work perfectly on my dvd player, but no one elses DVD players.

Is FUJI media still bad? Should I take off everything but the movie using reauthor?

I have tried to reauthor Vanhelsing, but after encoding, the file is 4.3 gbs big, but when I try and reauthor the dvd by only placing just the movie, the movie file jumps from 3.2gb to 4.9gb. How the hell does that happen?
