    when convert whit TMPGEnc Express to DVD a xVid File 701MB rt: 41:46
    Bitrate:2150kb/s,FPS:23.97,x:y 960x528, check whit gspot.
    by 50% TMPGEnc stopps whit error 0x80048002
    regular xvid the same file whit 344 MB Bitrate 952kb/s, 624x352 the
    converting goes ok..!?!

    the problem is : VFAPI FRAME SERVER. EXE

    in WinXP but how to fix this..?

  3. Use AVISynth to frameserve to TMPGEnc. Use a script like this:

    AviSource("C:\DVD\lost\lost104-qhr.avi")
    LanczosResize(720,480,0,0,960,528)

    in TMPGenc set the encoder as follows:
    720x480
    16:9 display
    frame rate: 23.976
    video source: non-interlace
    source aspect ratio: 1:1
    Video Arrange method: full screen
    do not frame rate conversion

    make sure you are only encoding the video portion the source is on AC3 6.1, demux this with VirtualDub and use the audio as is untouched. (apply ac3fix.exe to the audio file)

    skynet> can you explain how to frameserve toTMPGEnc? I'm having he same problem as texas but I'm not farmiliar with the frameserving part. Is there a guide around somewhere?

  6. Frameserving just means to take frames of a video and "serve" it to another application. It is an intermediate step between a file and an encoder. The "frameserver" takes the source file, changes it in some way, and serves it up to the encoder.
