  1. Hello All,

    I'm a newcomer to VCDs. A while ago I bought a Hong Kong VCD and it played OK. Then some time after that I tried to play it for the 2nd time and had a problem i.e. the audio sounded OK, but the video played back like a slide show.

    I bought a 2nd HK VCD and had the same problem.

    Player: Media Player 7.0

    System: AMD K6-2 350 MHz; 128 MB RAM;
    4MB Video memory on Motherboard.

    CD-ROM: LITE-ON LTN 301, 32x Read.

    Funny thing is, when I run the hardware diagnostics software on the CD-Rom when it has a data or audio CD inside, the software says it's OK. But if I run it when one of the VCD discs is inside, then the diagnostics find a problem.

    Any suggestions?

    Jim.

  2. Use a decent VCD/DVD Playback program like PowerDVD or WinDVD.
