I have a dvd rip that I burnt to dvd-r. It plays fine on my computer dvd player, but when I play it on my home dvd player, it has a bunch of lines, almost as if it were playing a PAL formated dvd. So how can I find out if the disk is PAL or NTSC? Is there a program I can use? Also would there be a way around this?

DVDDecrypter shows whether the material on a DVD is PAL or NTSC.

Ok I used dvd decrypter and it says indeed that the dvd is PAL format. So is there a way to change that? My DvD player dosent have the option to switch between the two. So I would have to make a new dvd some how.

Do a search for PAL to NTSC and you'll find MANY ways of doing it....none of which I would tackle myself. I'd rather go out and buy a player that plays both.
Just my opinion....but once you start reading you'll understand my reasoning.
Or buy it in NTSC format.

Ok now im upset.. I just looked at the manual for my Dvd player, and it says it supports both PAL and NTSC. It auto detects what type of disk. So what else could be wrong?

All dvd players supports pal and ntsc. But you must have a dvd player that can convert to NTSC (or get a TV that supports PAL).
