I was wondering if there is a good live-cd distro that has a bunch of good video-editing programs included with it? This way I could try the apps out and see which ones I like. I can't hdd install linux because I don't want to repatition and have NTSF.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Try Dynebolic.
It's a livecd distro for artists. It comes with cinelerra (video editor) and a lot of other video and audio applications.
Of all the live-cd distros, it's my favorite, because it has so many things to play with... like HasciiCam, which takes video and turns it into moving ascii art.Actually, I have already tried Dyne Bolic and like it very much. There was only one problem.. I could only save a very small file. I tried an experiment with Transcode and rendered a short Xvid Encoded avi into mpeg, it put it in my home folder but only rendered 28 MB worth, barely 1 second. My Hd has 2 partitions, the main one being NTSF and the other much smaller one contains my Knoppix persistent home. Is there a way to edit and save larger files?
Also, I found this distro called Media Linux:
http://www.mediainlinux.org/
but the download cuts out every time after only downloading part way. Do you maybe have another mirror for this or a better/more secure way to download it?
I also recently installed Topologilinux 5:
www.topologilinux.com
I was able to install Cinelerra but I tried installing some other apps like Image2Mpeg:
http://www.gromeck.de/cms/index.php?image2mpeg
and QDVD Author:
http://qdvdauthor.sourceforge.net/
and had some issues (how to start them after installing the rpm). Is there an easy way to install them?
Thanks alot!
