    Mad Dog 16x Burners

Mad Dog makes two kinds of 16x burners. One internal and one external.

Supports bitsetting which is good. Is an OEM NEC so I guess get it if you can find it cheaper than the NEC.

  3. A co-worker heard me talking about it and swears off of it due to a CD-Writeable he bought 2 years ago.

I am speaking of the internal writer.

    What about Lite-On?

I didn't even know Mad Dog existed two years ago. Or are you referring to NEC? Anyway, keep in mind that a company like Mad Dog can use a variety of different OEM manufacturers so blame can be laid to whoever made the CDRW drive in the first place.

Check out the DVD Writer list to your left for drive reviews.

I am using an Optorite brand DVD burner and am quite happy with it. Optorite is also a VERY inexpensive brand much like Mad Dog.
