I kegged my first batch of beer this morning and even though it's still pretty flat I decided I needed to taste it and it's good!!!! 8)

Hopefully by tomorrow night the carbonation will be high enough cause I'm all outta store bought beer

I tried some more when I went home at lunch and it's now carbonated! Still kinda foamy though, prolly due to the high pressure in the keg. A bit cloudy too, but tastes good!

I calculated the alcohol cantent to 4.1%, but it tastes a lot stronger than that. Maybe cause it hasn't aged properly?

I wouldn't worry about an improper age if it's kicking the alcohol content up a notch. I'd try to figure a way to repeat what I just did. Nothing like a little ZING to an old friend. keeps you awake when you're driving home drunk.

Here is the finished product from batch #1 It's cloudier than I would like, but tastes great! Similar to Sam Adams, but more bite. I think I miscalculated the alcohol content though cause I only had two and I got a real nice buzz going! Usually takes 4 sierra Nevada Pale Ales at 5.6% in an hour to get a buzz like this!

I re-racked my second batch, you know, the one I fucked up... Well, it's okay except it's bitter as hell... I mean REALLY BITTER! Max likes it though. It will be ready for kegging on saturday

Make a flavored ale and see what that's like. Try something new. Raspberry Ale or a Lime Ale. Who knows, you might mix something and come up with a whole new type of liquor or alcoholic beverage that becomes real popular.
