  1. Could anybody please help me i have been trying to disable macrovision and enable the 3hr recoding mode on the Liteon LVW-5005B DVD RECORDER using the firmware hack from digitalfaq.com and from another source.
I Have renamed the file as it says on the forum on digitalfaq and have burned to a dvd+r and to a dvd+rw and all the recorder does is say file and does nothing else?
Can anyone help, i have the required file i just need to know exactly what to do with it, i.e to burn it using nero or another burning software to enable the above hack.
I have already used the multiregion remote hack which worked ace.

Try burning files on CD-R or CD-RW not DVD+R or DVD+RW

  4. Sorry I meant i had burnt them onto cd-r and cd-rw and all it says is FILE on the display of the dvd recorder, and nothing happens?
The file is named LNFB2063.D00_modified do i delete the modified part to leave LNFB2063.D00 and then burn onto a cd-r or cd-rw as a cdrom iso file using nero and it should work?

  6. I burnt the file LNFB2063.D00 onto a sony cd-rw disk using nero and when i put the disk into the recorder it came up with data disk on the display.
    Am i doing something wrong?
My machine is the european version which was manufactured January 2004 made in China if that helps.
Anybody any ideas?as i am not too bothered about the macrovision but would like the 3hr recording option if possible.
