A while ago I began to experience very garbled audio when playing my video tutorial disks which are all in .mov format.
I;ve have uninstalled and re installed QuickTime as well as some other players that can play quicktime files to no avail. Sound is still super garbled and incomprehesible. I've adjuste my Audio Out settings in quick time but that this not resolve the problem. Now, whe I load any of these files on say, Vegas or even Premiere and click on on the preview player, the audio is perfect. Anyone have any ideas on what can be done barring re-encoding any .mov files to Avi which can take a fair ammount of time.
Does Quick Time use a specific audio codec that I mey have to re-install?
I would preffer to solve this without having to do a Windows re install.
Hope someone can come up with a solution
Thanks to all

Check out 'Quicktime Alturnitive' in the tools section. It allowes you to play MOV files in Windows Media Player Clasic and I believe WM Player also.
If you have the same results I suspect the MOV file is corrupt.

Couldn't figure how to edit my last post so....
The correct spelling is 'Quicktime Alturnative' to read MOV files.

Quicktime Alternative is the actual spelling.
