  1. Well, I'm stuck at university and my family got another Springer today. She's called Rowan (pronounced "row" like "ROUndabout") and is a liver and white working breed just like Bracken. I am going home this weekend specially to meet her. I am really looking forward to it - my only regret is that I won't be at home much to bond with her as I did with Bracken. Still, it won't make much difference I'm sure!

Here's a picture of her that my father took for me:

Plus the photo of Bracken (now 1 1/2 years old) you've all seen before, I'm sure:

Just excited, and wanted to share it.

    Cobra:
Rowan is way cute. I am a dog lover myself. Nothing against cats.
I have had my share of them as well
    Enjoy

  6. Puppies are awesome! Max still thinks he's a puppy, even though he weighs 130 pounds! He doesn't understand why he can't jump up into my lap anymore

Watch that max dosen't get into your home made
beer. I had a dog that got into a batch of mine
JUST before I was about to rack it. I was washing
bottles and not paying attention. He got himself
royally pissed. He had QUITE the hangover the
next day. All mopey, ears down and a LOT of
sleeping. Came out ok in the end though. Just like
yhe rest of us boozers. Toys and chews for rowan
is a given. Give her a scratch behind the ear for me.

Max loves beer. I accidently tapped a keg with the faucet open and spilled maybe half a glass on the floor and he cleaned it up in a matter of seconds! LOL

Do you bird hunt Cobra? Grouse, Pheasant, Quail?

  16. No, the dogs we keep are just family pets and nothing more. I don't hunt with them.

You should take Bracken hunting, he would love it...it is in his nature.

  18. It's a she, northcat! Both of them are.

We don't have anywhere to hunt, and we don't have guns with which to hunt. Unless I make a bow and arrow...

She? Oh OK, sorry, jesh...simmer down.."mom" (which could technically be...bitch then couldn't it? haha)

Grouse and Quail would be quite tough to hunt with a bow But SHE would still love it.

A good section of the floor started floating off yesterday when I telecommuted, but he remained vigilantly fixed to that spot and maintained a downward pressure all day. Apparently it was enough because the floor is still there, and has an imprint of his outline in the carpet pile
