  1. Does the Daewoo3000N or 5000N play them? I remember the 5000N box saying MP3/CD-R/RW but I believe thats only for music but I could be wrong..
Also, can they both have macrovision turned off? I know for sure that they're both region free.
    Thanks.

  3. The Daewoo3000N does have a hack posted in the DVD Hacks section. In it Macrovision is turned off depending on the video chip that is in it. I was ready to buy an Apex AD-500w until I read recent posts about the player having problems.

  6. k, thanks..
So, shall I get the 5000? Or is there a better one? I'm pretty surprised to see a great dvd player for cheap. And it dosn't have bad picture quality like the Apex. Since its so good and cheap, shouldn't everyone be buying these? Am I missing something here? Cause its sorta too good to be true, theres gotta be a disadvantage to this machine. And why is everybody buying Pioneers, and Apex?

  7. People are buying Pioneers because they seem to have the best compatabilty and quality balance. Apex bc they are cheap and (as I remember how some one praised them ) will play a slice of balogna if it has the right firmware.

I have not tested the Daewoo but there is a MB about them at http://www.nerd-out.com/forum
