after 1/2 month using this i'm just fed up, the write quality is simply bad, and it messed up one of my ridata RW disc too which now is unable to read in the drive. I'm thinking of something along the line of the NEC 2500A or some liteon, any ideas? looking for something that can do 8X at around 50 bucks (that's the price i got my BTC). I felt bad returning it after using it for a while but i got no choice this is is messing up too much, I got ritek G4 disc that's messing up constantly and now my ridata RW disc too![]()

Go for the NEC 3500. It is only a few bucks more and it burns everthing I have used flawlessly.
Still a few bugs in the system... -
I have only ever had 1 dvd burner, still got it, about 18 months old. Pioneer 105, still going strong after thousands of burns. Next one will defnately be a pioneer, whatever model is the latest when this one burns out. Had a few problems last copuple of months with G04's, but it is the media. Mine cost about £150 when me got, but I think latest ones are £60 or less (not looked at 8x yet)
